The Things You Can Create With Newspaper Articles
There are multiple board games out there, however, how many are inspired from newspaper articles? We - a group of 4 - came across a newspaper article about Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin - an ex prime minister of Russia and a current politician. What could we do with these two factors - Putin and Shooting? And so we came up with some ideas.
The main goals is to prevent Putin from reaching the UN! You're placed in a forest with multiple obstacles and it's your job to try and avoid them.
- We play as journalists - the blue marbles and must reach the UN before Putin does or else we lose.
-One player plays as Putin - marked by the white square with Putin's face
- There must be a minimum of 3 players (2 journalists and one player as Putin)
- Putin starts on the tile ahead of the rest of the players but we journalists get to roll before Putin does.
- Game is simple, you move the amount that shows on the dice roll, there are a couple of rules you must remember however: If you land on rocks (the grey squares) you skip the next turn. If you land on the river (the blue squares) you get washed away to the previous blue tile - just like snakes and ladders.
If you land on spaces where a ladder is attached you get to skip ahead to the square attached to the end of the ladder
-The list of rules about the coloured squares applied to both journalists and Putin
-If any player reaches the UN before Putin it's a win! and the rest of the players are all safe
-If Putin reaches UN before the rest of the players however, then the journalists are executed.
Enjoy and have fun!! May get competitive!
